How to Judging the Performance of IP cameras
How to Judging the Performance of IP cameras
1. Intelligibility Test
We can simply judge the intelligibility of HD IP cameras by common video image intelligibility (line number) test card. By using this way, we can judge the image intelligibility directly by naked eye. Generally, HD 720P surveillance cameras test card standard can clearly judge the TV line that is over 800TVL. While for the inferior HD cameras, it will be lower, and there is shaking images and deckel edge.
2. Dynamic Range Test
We can simply judge HD image gray scale data by using common video image gray data test.
3. Color Rendition
We can judge HD video image color rendition by color test card or naked eye. Generally, good HD IP cameras has high level of color rendition, which even can reach the level of verisimilar reduction effect.
4. SNR
In the same situation, noise suppression processing is also an aspect to measure HD IP cameras performance. Processing the light and dark block on pictures, noise suppression directly decide image quality.
5. Image Coding Compression Algorithm
The image coding compression of IP HD cameras that directly influence cameras’ performance is one of the most important indicators. Mainly, there are two kinds of HD cameras video image coding compression processing chip, including DSP chip and ASI chip. The two all has disadvantages.
